April 10th: Free Foreclosure Prevention Fair in Whittier, CA

As part of a faith-based initiative, Los Angeles Neighborhood Housing Services (LA NHS) and the Center for Foreclosure Solutions (CFS) are pleased to partner with Zoe Christian Fellowship in Whittier, CA to help families who are in mortgage distress and facing foreclosure. Mr. Edward A. Smith, Senior Pastor at Zoe Christian Fellowship, is committed to helping families during this financial crisis, and urges borrowers to take action by seeking FREE help from a HUD certified housing agency.
Since December 2009, the CFS has reviewed approximately 2,000 loans and hosted over 5,000 participants at monthly foreclosure prevention fairs throughout Los Angeles County. There is no clear indication that the foreclosure crisis will subside soon. The CFS is committed to reaching out to all individuals who are in danger of losing their home. “We all know someone affected by foreclosure - it may be you, your parent, your brother/sister, your cousin, your friend or your neighbor,” says Lori Gay, president and CEO of LA NHS. “It is time to replace feelings of shame with faith so that we can move forward and take action. I am committed to helping families to save their home or, if necessary, make a smooth transition into a new home,” adds Mrs. Gay.
What: FREE & CONFIDENTIAL Foreclosure Prevention Fair.
Foreclosure prevention counselors, select lenders and servicers, and attorneys will meet with distressed borrowers to provide on-site assistance and one-on-one counseling. At this time, representatives from Chase, HSBC and Saxon are confirmed to meet with their borrowers during the event. Homeowners will find information on:

· Loan Modification/Loss Mitigation
· Fraud Identification and Prevention
· Credit Recovery and Budgeting
Homeowners must bring their loan documents, income verification and monthly budget.
